Research Software Engineer

Owain Snaith

Owain has an extensive background working with data from a range of sources, including models, simulatons, and observations. Owain completed a PhD in astrophysics and has worked on a variety of projects in astronomy, with an increasing focus on software engineering and data analysis.

Recently, Owain work on parts of the data processing pipeline for a space telescope and, subsequently, on the instrument control software for a near infra-red optical interferometer at the Very Large Telescope Interferometer in Chile.

Owain started work with the Research Software Engineering in March 2026.
